Basketball Recap: Wilson Prep Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Wilson Prep was riding high fresh off their 55-16 takedown of Pine Forest last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers were beaten by the Bishop McGuinness Villains 67-32 on Tuesday. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.

Claire Sullivan had another great game (as she tends to do), shooting 69% from the field to rack up 21 points along with eight rebounds and six assists for Bishop McGuinness. Sullivan is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 17 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jenna Moore, who went 6-for-15 on her way to 16 points and three steals.

Wilson Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bishop McGuinness, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Wilson Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rocky Mount at 1:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Bishop McGuinness, they will head out on the road to challenge Albemarle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
