Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ashley Go and Carrington Nichols Lead Weiss to Victory

Weiss picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Dickinson Gators by a score of 2-0.

Weiss easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18.

Leading Weiss to victory were Carrington Nichols and Ashley Go. Nichols had eight digs and three aces, while Go had 11 digs and two assists. Those eight digs gave Nichols a new career-high. Gianna Lane also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Dickinson lost, don't look at Athina Rodriguez. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and two assists.

Weiss' win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Dickinson, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Weiss has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Stony Point on the 16th. As for Dickinson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Alief Elsik on the 21st.
