Volleyball Recap: Sabetha Bluejays vs. Marysville Bulldogs
Sabetha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marysville Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejays of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
While Sabetha was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23.
Marysville can attribute much of their success to Jenica Hubbard, who had 16 digs.
Sabetha's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Marysville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.
Sabetha is on the road again on Saturday to play Atchison County at 6:00 p.m. Sabetha is facing Atchison County at the right time seeing as Atchison County is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Marysville, they will head out to face off against Chapman at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
