Baseball Recap: Unity Eagles vs. Webster Tigers
Unity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-4 to the Webster Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 back in April.
Isaish Fugate made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, four RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Dakota Hyden, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases.
Unity's record now sits at 2-6. As for Webster, they moved to 3-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity will challenge Bloomer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Webster, they will face off against Clear Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
