Baseball Recap: Newport - Bellevue Knights vs. Issaquah Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Skyline, Newport - Bellevue was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Issaquah Eagles get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Not much got past Max Higbee, who gave up just six hits to keep Issaquah off the board. Those hits marked the first that Higbee allowed this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Derek Zhang, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Crowley, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
