Baseball Game Preview: Thornton Trojans vs. Aurora Central Trojans

For the first time this season, Thornton will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to face off against Aurora Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Thornton is looking for their season's first win.

Thornton came up short against Mesa Ridge on Saturday, falling 17-2.

Thornton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesus Munoz, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Aurora Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 21-1 to Vista PEAK Prep.

Aurora Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Thornton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Thornton couldn't quite get it done against Aurora Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-5. Can Thornton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
