New Plymouth has gone 9-1 against McCall-Donnelly recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. Makiah Weideman made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Averi Albisu was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Lauren Ferreira, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

New Plymouth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matches.
