Football Recap: Carter Gets the Win + How To Watch

Carter won the last time they faced Wilmer-Hutchins and Damarion Boozer did his part to make sure it happened again. The Cowboys simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Eagles 55-14 for which the team can thank Boozer, who rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Boozer is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 116 every time he's taken the field this season.

Carter's defense made their presence known, laying out JaQuavion Gaston. 11.5 times. The heavy lifting was done by Landon Traylor and Thomas Jones, who racked up eight sacks between them. Thanks to that big game, Traylor is now up to 6 sacks on the season. Carter got some further help from Rashad Chandler: he picked up 1.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made three total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Special teams played a big role in the game for Carter, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Charles Anderson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Wilmer-Hutchins lost, don't look at Gaston. Despite the final result, he rushed for 75 yards and one TD on only nine carries, and also threw for 156 yards while completing 80% of his passes. 86 of Gaston's passing yards were hauled in by Ric'Keon Washington, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Carter's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Wilmer-Hutchins, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Carter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-3 win against North Dallas on the 26th. As for Wilmer-Hutchins, they have also already played their next contest, a 28-23 victory against Conrad on the 26th.
