Volleyball Game Preview: Woodbridge Warriors vs. Laguna Beach Breakers

The Woodbridge Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Laguna Beach Breakers at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodbridge is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Woodbridge came up short against Portola on Friday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Laguna Beach posted their closest win since April 13, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Aliso Niguel 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Breakers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-105) Laguna Beach actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 15-11.

Laguna Beach's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Woodbridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Everything went Woodbridge's way against Laguna Beach in their previous matchup back in February, as Woodbridge made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodbridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
