Basketball Recap: Grundy County Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Grundy County Panthers came up short against the King City Wildkats and fell 35-27. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Grundy County and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for King City, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Grundy County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Harrison at 3:00 p.m. on December 31st. King City also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Albany at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
