Papillion-LaVista South can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Thursday. They blew past the Elkhorn South Storm 3-0. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Storm, too.

One reason for the win was Papillion-LaVista South's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-18, 25-15.

Papillion-LaVista South had a senior duo take command as Ella Eymann had three digs and two aces and Dani Vallinch had 11 digs and two aces. Vallinch has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Papillion-LaVista South was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elkhorn South only served three.

Despite the defeat, Elkhorn South saw an underclassman step up: freshman Finley Tate had 18 digs and three assists.

Papillion-LaVista South's win bumped their record up to 22-9. As for Elkhorn South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-12 record this season.

Papillion-LaVista South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Benson on the 20th. As for Elkhorn South, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Bellevue East on the 20th.
