Basketball Recap: Zion Chapel Takes a Loss

Zion Chapel lost against Long back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Zion Chapel Rebels came up short against the Long Rebels, falling 62-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Zion Chapel has suffered against Long since January 26, 2021.

Defeat or not, Zion Chapel got some senior leadership from Joseph Legear and Brodie Stinson. Legear went 6 for 15 on his way to 12 points, while Stinson posted eight points in addition to six steals and five assists. Stinson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Zion Chapel and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Long, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Wicksburg the next time they take the court. Zion Chapel will host Wicksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Long will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
