Recap: Memphis Central Warriors vs. Arlington Tigers
The Memphis Central Warriors put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 52-40 victory over Arlington. Given Memphis Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Arlington is ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Arlington saw an underclassman step up: Zaria Moss scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. Moss hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Cydney Hurt, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Memphis Central's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Arlington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Memphis Central will head out on the road to face off against Bolton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlington won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on December 9th.
