Harvest Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Elgin Maroons an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Harvest Christian Academy, who have now won 11 matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Elgin from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Sophia Johnson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Harvest Christian Academy pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 64 goals over those nine contests. As for Elgin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-4-1.

Harvest Christian Academy and Elgin are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Lions will head out to take on Marian Central Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on the 17th. As for Elgin, they will challenge Aurora East at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
