Softball Recap: Livermore's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Livermore waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dublin Gaels, sneaking past 6-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cowboys also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Kaci Norton tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over 6.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sophia Gerochi was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Maggie Pyke also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Livermore pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Dublin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Livermore is set to face off against their familiar foe Granada at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dublin will square off against rival Livermore at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
