Basketball Recap: Harrold Comes Up Short

Harrold was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 92-36 loss at the hands of the Benjamin Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 81-29 back in December of 2024.

Leading Benjamin to victory were Keegan Hayes and Mauricio Silva. Hayes dropped a double-double on 30 points and 20 rebounds, while Silva went 8 of 15 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and eight boards. Hayes' evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Haralds Sprulds was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Harrold's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Benjamin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Harrold has already played their next matchup, a 54-34 defeat against Northside on the 28th. As for Benjamin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-31 victory against Chillicothe on the 28th.
