Basketball Recap: Okeechobee Takes a Loss

Okeechobee managed to slip by Vero Beach the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Brahmans had to suffer through a 73-18 loss at the hands of the Indians. The Brahmans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-4.

Vero Beach got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Preston Collier out in front who posted ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Brandon James, who went 5-for-9 en route to 11 points.

Okeechobee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Vero Beach, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Okeechobee has already played their next contest, a 78-43 loss against LaBelle on the 21st. As for Vero Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-62 victory against Bayside on the 22nd.
