Soccer Recap: Spanish Fork Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Spanish Fork had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Payson on Thursday. The Dons never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Given Spanish Fork's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Payson are ranked 83rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Spanish Fork is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Payson, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
