Softball Recap: Pendleton Heights Takes a Loss

Greenfield-Central hit Pendleton Heights with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Arabians fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 4-3. The Arabians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Grace Fisher was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Aubrey Fox was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Pendleton Heights and nudges their season record down to 10-12. As for Greenfield-Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Coming up, Pendleton Heights will host New Palestine at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenfield-Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Lawrence Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
