Captain Shreve had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 44-22 margin over the Southwood Cowboys. For the Gators, this counts as revenge for the 40-39 victory the Cowboys walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Southwood and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Captain Shreve and Southwood will both be playing North Caddo the next time they take the court. The Cowboys will head out to face the Titans at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Gators will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
