Baseball Recap: Cross Roads Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Cross Roads's offense. They came up short against the Mildred Eagles on Friday, falling 7-0. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cross Roads' loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Mildred, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cross Roads will square off against rival LaPoynor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mildred is set to challenge their familiar foe Frankston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.1, the Indians 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
