Soccer Game Preview: Currituck County vs. Hickory

The Currituck County Knights will take on the Hickory Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Currituck County's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.

Currituck County's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Pasquotank County as Currituck County made off with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for Currituck County, who have now won four games by five goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Hickory duked it out with Cox on Tuesday. Hickory walked away with a 2-0 victory over Cox.

Kayleigh Belton and Brenna Cashman scored both of Hickory's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Currituck County now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Hickory, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
