Baseball Game Preview: Prescott Badgers vs. Flagstaff Eagles

The Prescott Badgers will face off against the Flagstaff Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Prescott 3.5, Flagstaff 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Flagstaff will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Prescott extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Badgers were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over Greenway. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won nine contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Flagstaff had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 7-4 win over ALA - Queen Creek on Saturday.

Connor Iniguez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Iniguez wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jace Adams, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Flagstaff was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 9-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Prescott's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Flagstaff, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
