Soccer Recap: Ascend Leadership Comes Up Short

After soaring to eight goals the game before, Ascend Leadership was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 10-1 to the Clover Garden School Grizzlies. While losing is never fun, Ascend Leadership can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 470th, while Clover Garden School are ranked 208th).

Ascend Leadership's goal came courtesy of Braydon Browning, who's now up to nine this season.

Ascend Leadership's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Clover Garden School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Ascend Leadership wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Southern Wake Academy on the 15th. As for Clover Garden School, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against River Mill on the 15th.
