Parkersburg won the last time they faced Capital and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Big Reds were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Big Reds.

Camella Cooper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brynn Frye, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Krista Durkin, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Parkersburg's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Capital, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-23.
