Minarets posted their closest win since April 2, 2024 on Thursday. They skirted past the McLane Highlanders 2-1. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 5-1 victory the Highlanders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Logan Meyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Minarets saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Torin Wolf, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Minarets' record is now 2-3. As for McLane, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.

Coming up, Minarets will be taking part in a tournament against Firebaugh at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Minarets is facing Firebaugh at the right time seeing as Firebaugh is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for McLane, they are taking a road trip to challenge Kings Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. McLane's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Kings Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
