Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Creek Wood). They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Waverly Central Tigers on Thursday. Creek Wood haven't had any issues with Waverly Central recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Creek Wood's offense was hitting Waverly Central from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Hayden Butts led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Creek Wood's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Waverly Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Creek Wood will be playing at home against Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Waverly Central, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Hickman County at 6:00 p.m. on April 1.
