Basketball Recap: Escalante Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Escalante can now relate to. They lost to the Milford Tigers on the road by a 45-26 margin on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-27 back in January.

Milford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaidyn Mcmullin out in front who went 7-for-10 to rack up 19 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Mcmullin is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Paizlee Florence was another key player, putting up seven points and five steals.

Escalante has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. The victory got Milford back to even at 13-13.

Escalante does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Milford, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-31 win against Piute on the 1st.
