Basketball Recap: Sneads Comes Up Short

Sneads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Holmes County Blue Devils, falling 93-19. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 622nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 28th).

Emma Whitkaer was her usual excellent self, going 10 for 14 on her way to 22 points along with six boards and four steals for Holmes County. The matchup was Whitkaer's third in a row with at least ten points. Bri Adams was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Sneads' loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Holmes County, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Sneads will face off against Graceville at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holmes County, they will host Freeport at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
