Football Game Preview: South Side Cyclones vs. Bethpage Golden Eagles

The South Side Cyclones will head out to challenge the Bethpage Golden Eagles on Saturday.

South Side lost 35-14 to Carey on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Cyclones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Seahawks are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, Bethpage put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 41-7 win over Valley Stream North. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.

South Side's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Bethpage, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

South Side took their win against Bethpage when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 35-10 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cyclones since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
