Baseball Game Preview: Sussex Central Tigers vs. William Campbell Generals

Sussex Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Cumberland 10-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the match before.

Sussex Central let Leon Jones and Kamari Everett run wild. Jones went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Everett went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most stolen bases Jones has posted since back in March. Marzavion Stith also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Sussex Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, William Campbell came into Thursday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Surry County with a sharp 9-2 win on Thursday.
