Basketball Recap: Jefferson Democrats vs. West Linn Lions
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jefferson had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They snuck past the West Linn Lions with a 62-58 victory. The Democrats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.
Despite the defeat, West Linn saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kaylor Buse dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Buse also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ayla Arnold, who posted eight points along with five boards and three steals.
