Basketball Recap: Holtville Comes Up Short

Holtville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Brawley Wildcats, falling 72-47. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 55-43 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Holtville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Brawley, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

Holtville will head out to square off against Southwest EC at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brawley, they will face off against Palo Verde Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palo Verde Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season.
