Football Recap: Bountiful Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Woods Cross + How To Watch

Bountiful faced Woods Cross in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Redhawks received a blow as they fell 28-14 to the Wildcats. The Redhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Bountiful lost, don't look at Siaki Fekitoa. Despite the final result, he rushed for 168 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Fekitoa's longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards.

The critical scores for Woods Cross came from Eli Bodell, Shaydon Gerratt, and Marcus Stepan.

Bountiful's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-4. As for Woods Cross, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
