McAdory lost against Hueytown back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Yellowjackets fell  43-38 to the Golden Gophers. The loss was the Yellowjackets' first of the season.
McAdory's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Derrion Davis, who rushed for 99 yards and a pair of  TDs on only 12 carries.  Carter Feagin was another key pass catcher, picking up 92 receiving yards and two  touchdowns.
 Don't try to pin the team's loss on the defense: they kept the trenches locked down and allowed a mere 2.9 yards per carry. While two picked up at least one  total tackle,  Jacorey Gaines stood above the rest. He made one tackle. McAdory didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.8.
 Hueytown's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by  Quentrell Jackson and  Kobe Coleman. Jackson picked up 123 receiving yards and one  score while  Coleman picked up 112 receiving yards and one  TD.
Having lost for the first time  this season, McAdory  fell to 5-1. As for Hueytown, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record  this season.
