Softball Recap: Southwind Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Southwind won the last time they faced Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering and things went their way on Monday too. Southwind won by a run and slipped past Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering 9-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Southwind pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Southwind and Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering will both be playing Hillcrest the next time they take the field. Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering will host Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Southwind will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
