Holmes put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Pamlico County Hurricanes by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Aces, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-15, 23-25, 25-23.

SarahLogan Cobb paced Holmes' offense, picking up 20 kills. Cobb got some help from Harper Evans and her 34 assists. Mariah Miller controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Despite the loss, Pamlico County still got an impressive performance from Hayley Shamblin, who had 15 digs and three aces.

Holmes' victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Pamlico County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Holmes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Northeastern on the 28th. As for Pamlico County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Bear Grass Charter on the 28th.
