Baseball Recap: Lakeway Christian Academy Lions vs. Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders
Lakeway Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They never let the Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders onto the board and left with a 19-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.
Chase Gockenbach made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he also racked up five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
