Soccer Game Preview: Santiago vs. Los Amigos

The Santiago Cavaliers will venture away from home to square off against the Los Amigos Lobos at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Santiago will be strutting in after a victory while Los Amigos will be coming in after a loss.

Santiago is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They had just enough and edged Santa Ana Valley out 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cavaliers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Los Amigos' game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Anaheim by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the Colonists are ranked 110th).

Santiago's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-11-2. As for Los Amigos, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5-1.
