Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Stanley's Fifth in Last Six Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rugby, Stanley was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Velva Aggies by a score of 2-0. For the Blue Jays, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Aggies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Stanley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Velva between 19 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19.

Stanley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Velva, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 9-4 record.

Velva wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] on the 27th. Hopefully Stanley paid attention to the Aggies' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Aggies at 2:35 p.m. on Saturday.
