Volleyball Game Preview: Foothill Mustangs vs. Florin Panthers + How To Watch

The Foothill Mustangs will challenge the Florin Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Foothill is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Foothill came up short against Highlands and fell 3-1.

While Foothill had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 18-25, 25-23.

Despite their defeat, Foothill saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Clare Saetern, who had 14 digs, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Isabella Padilla, who had 58 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Florin lost 3-0 to Armijo on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Royals: they've now lost four in a row.

Florin took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 27-25.

Florin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.

Foothill was able to grind out a solid victory over Florin when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
