Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Providence Christian). They put the hurt on the Northside Methodist Academy Knights with a sharp 25-3 win on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Providence Christian's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-10. As for Northside Methodist Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Christian will take on Charles Henderson in a tournament on the 8th. As for Northside Methodist Academy, they will host Slocomb at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Tops have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.6 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
