Baseball Recap: Spartanburg Day Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hampton Park Christian last Tuesday, Spartanburg Day came back down to earth. Spartanburg Day fell just short of the Upstate Eagles by a score of 9-8 on Thursday. The Griffins were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Spartanburg Day's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Upstate, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-8 record this season.

Upstate has already played their next contest, a 12-3 loss against Spartanburg Christian Academy on the 29th. Hopefully Spartanburg Day payed attention to Upstate's game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Upstate at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
