Baseball Recap: North Port Comes Up Short

North Port was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder, falling 7-0. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by exactly seven runs.

North Port saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephen Commander, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

North Port's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

North Port will take on Bishop Verot at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they will welcome IMG Academy Silver at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
