East Duplin lost to Southern Wayne back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Panthers won by a run and slipped past the Saints 6-5. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Jack Tuck was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

East Duplin pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Southern Wayne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

East Duplin will be playing in front of their home fans against Rosewood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southern Wayne, they will square off against Midway at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
