North Reading and Triton Regional are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but not for long. The Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

North Reading managed to slip by Lynnfield the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hornets lost 3-0 to the Pioneers on Monday. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

North Reading was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-10, 25-18.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Triton Regional, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Georgetown on Monday. The Vikings not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0).

North Reading's loss dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Triton Regional, with the win, they broke their six-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.

North Reading took their victory against Triton Regional in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
