Baseball Game Preview: Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers vs. Walhalla Razorbacks

The Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers will venture away from home to take on the Walhalla Razorbacks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Palmetto hit Christ Church Episcopal with a eight-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cavaliers came up short against the Mustangs, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cavaliers have suffered since March 11th.

Meanwhile, Walhalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Belton-Honea Path.

Christ Church Episcopal has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Walhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Christ Church Episcopal skirted past Walhalla 4-2 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
