Volleyball Recap: Wamego Takes a Loss

Wamego lost against Nemaha Central back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Raiders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Wamego ultimately came up short, they really made Nemaha Central work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 26-24.

Lexi Hecht paced Wamego's offense, picking up nine kills. Hecht got some help from Marie McVay and her 11 assists.

Wamego's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Nemaha Central, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.

Coming up, Wamego is taking a road trip to take on Marysville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nemaha Central, they will take on Rossville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
