Soccer Game Preview: Atlee vs. Midlothian

The Atlee Raiders will square off against the Midlothian Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Atlee is headed into Monday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mechanicsville on Friday.

Midlothian on the other hand, have had a phenomenal season so far and haven't lost a game yet. Their defense stepped up to hand Richmond High School for the Arts a 5-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Midlothian, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Casey Royle and Lance Yeboah scored all five of Midlothian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Midlothian pushed their record up to 11-0-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven games. As for Atlee, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-1.
