Preview: East Liverpool Potters vs. Indian Creek Redskins
East Liverpool has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Indian Creek Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. East Liverpool will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 365th, while Indian Creek is ranked 117th).
Last Monday, East Liverpool came up short against Catholic Central and fell 55-48.
Meanwhile, Indian Creek can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Brooke 50-10 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Indian Creek has posted since December 14, 2023.
Indian Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabby Taylor led the charge by scoring ten points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was McKenna Scott, who scored eight points along with five assists and five rebounds.
East Liverpool's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Indian Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
East Liverpool might still be hurting after the 49-27 loss they got from Indian Creek in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can East Liverpool avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
